Snakes & Ladders: To D.I.Y. For!
"With great certainty one would expect to see much more of these bands and this label in the coming years." Rough Trade
"...an excellent snapshot of the flourishing underground art-rock scene..." GIITTV Zine
"They're doing it all on their own and as such deserve to be supported in their endeavours." Artrocker Magazine
"...an ace little record label." Maps Magazine
"Snakes and Ladders is the kind of label we all need. Desperately. Eccentric and wilful, they put out material that does not necessarily want to fit in with any current trend." Artrocker Magazine
"A baton of alt. rock is carried by a new set of angular upstarts who untie numerous hybrids to create inspiring sounds for today! Look back in appreciation and forward in anticipation..." Indie-Pendent
Snakes & Ladders = London-based D.I.Y. record label est. 2006.
A note about board games...we lost the rules that came in the box. We charm the snakes to make them suitable for climbing, and spray-paint the broken ladder rungs for everyone to see.
